Habecker, Roy
March 18, 1931 - December 9, 2021
Rev. Roy S. Habecker, 90, of Lancaster, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Lydia Kaoru Habecker to whom he was married for 38 years. He was born in Lancaster County, son of the late Irvin G. and Susan H. Sensenig Habecker. At an early age, Roy's beliefs and convictions took him on a life-changing journey to the other side of the world, where he spent over 47 years of his life serving as a Christian missionary, mostly in Taiwan, but also in Macau and South Asia. Throughout his life, and even the last two years, when he was largely confined to bed, Roy was constantly loved and remembered by family, friends and those he worked with for his humble and unselfish servanthood, good-natured, low-key disposition, big ready smile and unwavering daily commitment to Jesus Christ.
Surviving in addition to his wife, son: Douglas Habecker of Taichung, Taiwan and daughter Debryn Habecker, Columbus, OH. Two grandchildren: Kaizen and Tialani, as well as his four Lancaster based siblings: Vera S. (late Robert) Keagy; Harry S. (Lynn) Habecker; Chris S. (late Shirley) and his wife Janet Habecker and Mahlon S. (Sharon) Habecker.

Harman, Reba Rhodes
Nobember 17, 1941 - December 24, 2021
Reba Rhodes Harman, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband, Orden Harman; two sons, Randy Harman and husband Kyle Morris, Wesley Harman; and a granddaughter, Savannah Harman. Also surviving are three sisters, Evelyn (husband Everett, deceased) Suter, Elizabeth Holsinger and husband Raymond, Mildred (Mickey) Eby and husband Harold, two brothers, Joe Rhodes and wife Linda, Richard Rhodes and wife Donna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Katie Rhodes and her siblings Edith Baber and Raymond Rhodes.
Reba was a vibrant and cheerful wife, mother, sister, and friend to many. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Orden as well as tending to their home. She was an active member of Harrisonburg Mennonite Church where she served on various committees—focused mostly on providing food and food services for the church and its members including Wednesday night and funeral service meals for families. She led Sunday school for the two-year-old’s for more than 20 years, served on the ladies sewing circle, and was a member of a Tuesday morning ladies bible study. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Savannah, as well as camping with family and friends. Reba was best known for her passionate love of two things, the color purple, and snow. Known to many as “The Purple Lady,” Reba surrounded herself with all things purple. And, on days when snow would fall, Reba would open all of her window shades and watch until the very last flake. Her phone would ring all day as friends and family called to share in her enjoyment.
The family will receive friends and family at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church on Tuesday Evening, December 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Craig Maven officiating. Burial will be held privately.
Please note that face masks will be required for visitors while inside Harrisonburg Mennonite Church.

Harnish, Paul K.
March 12, 1929 - December 24, 2021
Paul K. Harnish, 92, of Washington Boro, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, of natural causes. He was the youngest son of the late George K. and Emma Keener Harnish. Paul was a graduate of Pequea School, Strasburg Township, a one-room school, where he completed the eighth grade. Over the years, Paul was a salesman for Animal Medic, sold various ag commodities and was a self-employed dairy farmer. Following retirement, he held various part-time jobs. His greatest joy was serving as the president and director of Moments of Glad Tidings Chorale and Radio Program, which aired weekly on WDAC from 1960-2003. Throughout his retirement, Paul remained active and enjoyed encouraging residents of many nursing homes with his music. Paul was married to Anna Landis in 1950, who preceded him in death after 67 years of marriage.
He is survived by his seven children: Larry Harnish (m. Paula Harnish); Bob Harnish (m. Karen Deiter); Jean Hoover (m. Don); Marlin Harnish (m. Sharon Hurst); Cheryl Burkholder (m. Rick); Les Harnish (m. late Ramona Adams); and Dale Harnish (m. Kelly Sheetz). They credit their father with conveying the importance of integrity, a good work ethic and serving the Lord with gladness. Thirty-six grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren. His sister: Dorothy Meck. He was preceded in death by six siblings.
At the family's convenience, a private graveside service and burial will be held at Habecker Mennonite Cemetery. All are invited to attend a service of celebration and remembrance at Ephrata Community Church, 70 Clay School Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522, on Paul's birthday, SATURDAY, MARCH 12, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. Family visitation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that tributes be directed to "Hope Served," PO Box 61, Manheim, PA 17545, or via the website, www.hopeserved.org. Hope Served was inspired by Paul's grandchildren and newly established to come alongside individuals with disabilities and their local communities as they co-create revolutionary and sustainable opportunities for participation in all aspects of life. Hartman, Howard D.
July 9, 1931 - April 20, 2021
Howard D. Hartman, 89, of Linville, passed away April 20, 2021, at his home. He had been in failing health for several months. He was born in Shenandoah County, Va., on July 9, 1931, to the late Oscar Ervin and Lenore Crider Hartman.
Mr. Hartman is survived by his wife of 65 years, Arlene Showalter Hartman. They were united in marriage on Oct. 18, 1955.
Also surviving are three children, Sallie Hartman Rohrer and husband, Jay, of Dayton, Joseph H. Hartman and wife, Donna, of Linville and James E. Hartman and wife, Ramona, of Broadway; 17 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren.
Mr. Hartman was a member of the Bank Mennonite Church. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed working with his sons in farm equipment sales. Howard was an avid hunter, an antique tractor and steam engine enthusiast. Harmonia Sacra singings were a delight to him as well.
In addition to his parents, Howard was predeceased by two brothers, George W. Hartman and Charles E. Hartman.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery near Broadway. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bank Mennonite Church. Officiating will be the Ministers of the Bank Mennonite Church.
Friends may view and sign the guestbook from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. Per CDC requirements, social distancing and masks will be required at the funeral home, the graveside and church.
Hartman, Leroy Franklin
December 25, 1939 - October 5, 2021
Leroy Franklin Hartman, 81, Elkhart, died 3:39 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born December 25, 1939, in Pontiac, Illinois, to John & Grace (Cook) Hartman. On May 28, 1961, at Olive Mennonite Church, Elkhart, he married Marlene (Snyder) Hartman.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene, daughters, Sherry (Kevin) Hartman, Michele Zachary, son, Brent (Kate) Hartman, all of Elkhart, 6 grandchildren, Cameron (Ayami) Hartman, Casey (Lauren) Martin, Lana (Nick) Matthews, Molly Shields, Ashley (Sam) Johnson, Dakota Hartman, 14 great-grandchildren, sister, Rita Harter, Wakarusa and brother, Lewis Hartman, Goshen.
Preceding him in death are his parents, grandson, Jesse Martin, son-in-law, Doug Zachary, sisters, Lois Hartman, Mildred Winge, Bernice Canham and brothers, infant Hartman, Russell Hartman, Paul Hartman, John “Lowell” Hartman.
Leroy was a 1957 graduate of Cullom High School, Cullom, Illinois. Prior to retirement, Leroy owned and operated Hartman Sharpening, a saw sharpening business and was a school bus driver for Wa-Nee School System for 15 years. He attended Holdeman Mennonite Church.
A true fix-it man, Leroy loved repairing everything, restoring vehicles, tractors, and other miscellaneous things. He loved his electric trains and motorcycle trips with his friends. Later in life, he converted his motorcycle to a trike. Leroy helped build his children houses and worked with Habitat for Humanity. He was all about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, all at Holdeman Mennonite Church, 65723 CR 1, Wakarusa. Pastor Vernard Guengerich and Pastor Steve Slagel will officiate. Burial will follow at Olive (West) Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County, P.O. Wyatt Blake Headings, precious baby son of Tony and Carol (Hostetler) Headings of Buffalo, Mo., was stillborn on January 8, 2021, at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Sharing in the disappointment of this sudden loss are his brothers and sisters, Blane (14), Ashley (12), Kayci (9), Terrell (6), and Raelee (3). A tiny brother Darion Gene was stillborn in May of 2016.
Also sharing this disappointment are paternal grandparents, Jonathan and Margaret Headings, Buffalo, Mo.; and maternal grandmother Wanda Hostetler, Halfway, Mo.; great-grandparents, Edward Headings, Creston, Iowa; Ben W. Hostetler, Buffalo, Mo., and Wilma Hostetler, Sedalia, Mo.
Preceding him in death besides his brother Darion, are grandpa Vernon Hostetler, great-grandparents Willie Hostetler, Owen and Lily Kropf, Ruth Hostetler, and Sadie Headings, and aunt Janel Eigsti.
Although our hearts are broken, we know God makes no mistakes, and humbly say, Thy will be done.
Heatwole, Esther Marie Bixler
December 25, 1929 - January 12, 2021
Esther Marie Heatwole, 91, Goshen, formerly of La Junta, Colorado died 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. She was born December 25, 1929 in Goshen, to Alvin Dale and Celesta Marie (Smucker) Bixler.
Surviving are 4 sons, Steven (Bonnie) Heatwole of Archbold, Ohio, Douglas (Theresa) Heatwole of Garden City, Kansas, Roger (Jane) Heatwole of Marshalltown, Iowa, James (Elizabeth) Heatwole of Peoria, Illinois, 10 grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, brother, James (Thelma) Bixler of Elkhart, 2 sisters, Rachel (Ruperto Jr) Guedea, Lois (David) Martin both of Goshen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, C. Franklyn Heatwole, brother, David Bixler, 4 sisters, Elizabeth Bixler, Ruth Reeser, Mary Hardin, and Joanna Bixler.
Esther was a faithful member of Emanuel Mennonite Church, La Junta Colorado.
Esther was dearly loved by her husband, sons, and their families. She had been an active member of Rocky Ford Mennonite Church earlier. Esther graduated from Goshen College and the Mennonite School of Nursing in La Junta, Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She remained involved in nursing until her retirement at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center with many of the years as charge nurse on the OB ward. She was a founding member of the Arkansas Valley Ocuvites Vision Support Group. Esther volunteered at CrossRoads MarketPlace, Arkansas Valley Hospice, Cancer Society, and Casa del Sol for many years. She loved to travel.
Visitation will be Monday, January 25, 2021, from 10 – 11 a.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home 311 S Main Street Goshen, IN 46526. The service will be livestreamed at 11 a.m. Monday through the funeral home website, www.rrefh.com. Memorial donations may be directed towards MCC or donor’s choice.

Heatwole, Fannie Showalter
January 8, 1929 - July 7, 2021
Fannie Showalter Heatwole, 92, passed away July 7, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight S. Heatwole; four children, Patricia Hertzler (Gene), Richard Heatwole (Marjorie), Evelyn Borntrager (Philip) and Edwin Heatwole (Eileen); 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Mark Showalter Jr. (Dorothy) and Rhoda Wenger. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Fannie was a daughter of the late Mark C. and Amanda Showalter.
She was an exceptional cook and gracious hostess. They made friends in their travels local and abroad. She had a servant’s heart and was a devoted wife and mother. She loved sewing and blessed each of her children and grandchildren with beautiful quilts she created. She made many comforters for CAM-Christian Aid Ministries. Fannie was kind, loyal and faithful to God, church, family, and friends.
Dwight and Fannie were members of Morning View Mennonite Church where they shared in ministry for many years.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. beginning with the graveside service followed by a memorial service at Dayton Mennonite Church.

Heatwole, Myron Ralph
January 2, 1939 - December 29, 2021
Myron Ralph Heatwole, 82, of North Lawrence, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home.
He was born, a triplet, in North Lawrence, OH, on January 2, 1939 to Gabriel and Ada (Eberly) Heatwole. In his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and was a faithful member of the Valley View Mennonite Church.
On July 17, 1960 he married Edith Shaum, who survives. They shared 61 years together. He is survived by children, Ellen (Jonathan) Steiner, of New Bethlehem, PA; Mark (Marcella) Heatwole of North Lawrence, OH; Suetta (Larry) Geiser of Kirksville, MO; Joyce (Merle) Geiser of Apple Creek, OH; Janet (Edward) Martin of Whittemore, MI; Phyllis (Harlan) Sensenig of Conrath, WI; Marlene (Jonathan) Weaver of Bluford, IL; One brother, Wayne, of Saskatoon, SK; 53 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 infant triplet brothers, Elvin and Melvin, two brothers, Paul and Clarence, 2 sisters, Mary and Bertha; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2022, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 3, 2022, all held at the County Line Mennonite Church, Dalton, OH. Burial following in church cemetery. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
Hege, Betty Louise Hertzler
December 4, 1930 - August 24, 2021
Betty Louise Hege, age 90, of Shippensburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Maugensville Mennonite Home Assisted Living in Hagerstown, MD where she was a resident for the last 2 plus years. She was a member of Rowe Mennonite Church.
Born Thursday, December 4, 1930 in Mechanicsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Henry and the late Mabel Elizabeth (Benner) Hertzler. She married Enos Horst Hege in January of 1951 who passed away from cancer in 1986.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very active in the family farm especially in the years following the passing of her husband, Enos. She cared for the physical and spiritual well-being of her family. She spent many hours and thoroughly enjoyed providing blankets and clothing to help the needy around the world. As a hobby she enjoyed collecting glassware.
She is survived by her children: Jean Hege of Olar, SC, daughter-in-law Aletha Hege of Seminole, AL, Danny (Benita) Hege of Olar, Carol (Eugene) Hostetter of Spring Run, PA, Gary (Cheryl) Hege of Olar, Dena (Ivan) Skrivseth of Olar, Lanell (Allen) Kropf of Wickenburg, AZ, Arlin (Lois) Hege of Shippensburg, PA, sister Doris (Dale) Moyer of Leola, PA, and brother Leon (Joanne) Hertzler of Newport, NH, brother-in-law Warren Clugston of McConnellsburg, PA, sister-in-law Beverly Hertzler Bastrop, TX, forty-one grandchildren and sixty-four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Jay Hege, two sisters: Arlene Ebersole and Lois Clugston, brother Ken Hertzler and two grandchildren: Wesley Hostetter and Carla Martin.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 28 at Rowe Mennonite Church, 754 Pinola Road Shippensburg, PA 17257 with the Rowe Mennonite Church Ministry Officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 27 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the church and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Rowe Mennonite Cemetery.
Hege, Nathan Baer
October 9, 1927 - December 8, 2021
Nathan Baer Hege, 94, of Lititz passed away, December 8, 2021 at Landis Homes. He was born in Hagerstown, MD, the son of the late Jonas Eby Hege and Elizabeth Martin (Baer) Hege. He was a member of the Willow Street (PA) Mennonite Church.
Nathan graduated from Eastern Mennonite College in 1949 and from Syracuse University with a Master’s degree in Journalism in 1963.
On May 1, 1951 he married Arlene Emma Landis. They had four children. Along with his wife, Nathan served as a missionary in Ethiopia from 1950 to 1974 as a teacher and in production of Christian literature in the Amharic language.
He later worked at Eastern Mennonite Missions, Salunga, PA, in Church Relations until his retirement. He also served as Associate Pastor of Willow Street Mennonite Church and, for eight years, as Bishop of the Willow Street-Strasburg district of Lancaster Mennonite Conference. In 1998 he authored Beyond Our Prayers, a 50-year history of the Meserete Kristos Church in Ethiopia.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann Bonk (Matthew) of Lancaster and a son, Harold Wharton-Hege (Pat) of Delran, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Hege of Johns Island, SC; sisters, Barbara Risser and Dorothy Groff (Marvin); a brother, David Hege (Arlene); brother-in-law, John Brenneman; sister-in-law, Almeda Groff Landis; grandchildren, Peter, David, Mark, and Joshlind Hege, Crystal Ginyard, Lania Clark, Andrea Claroni and Gabriel Hege and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene E. Landis Hege who died November 15, 2020, two sons, John Allen and Peter Nathan Hege; sisters, Lois Brenneman and Martha Kreider; brother-in-law, Edwin Landis and sister-in-law, Alta Landis.

Heiser, Harold Eugene
September 3, 1924 - March 6, 2021
CHAMPAIGN — Harold Eugene Heiser, 96, of Champaign, Illinois passed away home surrounded by his family at 7:55 p.m. Saturday (March 6, 2021) a day after his 72nd wedding anniversary.
Harold was a loving, dedicated and kind husband, parent and grandparent. Born Sept. 3, 1924, in Fisher, he worked as a farmer before retiring in 1981.
In retirement, Harold was a longtime volunteer at Ten Thousand Villages, where he repaired broken items. He collected antiques and once owned an antique store in Fisher. He enjoyed gardening, music, tinkering in his workshop, making primitive wooden items, befriending neighborhood cats and meeting his friends over coffee at McDonald’s.
Harold was a member of East Bend Mennonite Church in Fisher. He began worshipping at First Mennonite Church in Urbana after moving to Champaign in 2007.
He married Mary Ann Springer in Hopedale on March 5, 1949. She survives, along with his sister, Lola; her husband, Roy Knox; and his sister-in-law, Edith Heiser Zehr.
He is survived by his children, Rodney (Sandy) of Champaign, Josie (Myron) Bollman of Granger, Ind., and Kate Falk of Urbana; five grandchildren, Kelli (Jason) Ball of Midlothian, Va., Emily (Joe) Buller of Maumee, Ohio, Andrew Bollman of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Rob (Jade) Huizenga of Frankfort and Tyler (Lydette Assefa) Falk of Chicago; and eight great-grandchildren, Michael and Hannah Ball, Ella, Amelia and Lila Bollman, Ashlyn, Ivy and Lily Huizenga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Amelia (Ingold) Heiser; brother, Merle; and sister, Mildred Emerson, and her husband, R.D.
A private family burial will be held at East Bend Mennonite Memorial Gardens.

Heisey, Eunice J. Gehman
November 1, 1952 - August 3, 2021
Eunice J. Heisey, 68, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Bowmansville, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021 at her home after courageously fighting multiple battles with cancer. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Allen W. Gehman of Ephrata and the late Lucy Horning Gehman. She was the wife of Donald L. Heisey for 44 years prior to his passing in 2018.
Eunice was a faithful member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren where she provided child care in the nursery and previously sang in the choir. After graduating from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1970, she furthered her education by completing licensed practical nurse's training. She was employed as an LPN by Landis Homes until she became a full-time mother and homemaker. Early in their marriage, Eunice and Don served one year as house parents in Mississippi with Brethren Volunteer Service.
Her activities centered around her family, whether it was supporting her grandchildren by attending all their activities or enjoying trips, especially to the shore. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and preserving the produce she grew. She also enjoyed providing ministry to others through music.
In addition to her father, she is survived by four children, Rachel M., wife of Lance Rohrer, of Manheim, Rebecca S., wife of Shannon Eberly, of Terre Hill, David L., husband of Kelly Yocum Heisey, of Stevens, and Joanna R., wife of Steven Lentz, of Mount Joy; nine grandchildren, Taylor Rohrer, financé of Allie Bellwood, Connor Rohrer, Erica (Eberly) Lorah, wife of Jeremy, Elise, Logan, and Owen Eberly, Alison and Brayden Heisey, and Abigail Lentz; four siblings, Rachel Brubaker of Kenhorst, Anna Lois, wife of Marvin Groff, of Stevens, Sara Martin of Reedsville, and David, husband of Faye Gehman, of East Earl; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at East Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1187 Fairview Road, Manheim, PA 17545. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive guests during a viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. If desired, contributions may be made to the children's ministry of East Fairview Church of the Brethren.
Helmuth, Emanuel J.
January 25, 1932 - June 25, 2021
Emanuel J. Helmuth, 89, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully at 11:15 am on Friday, June 25, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Mast, after having several bouts of strokes. He was born on January 25, 1932 in Hartsville, OH, to Jonas and Anna (Beachy) Helmuth. On November 14, 1954 in Hazleton, IA. he married Edna Bontrager, Edna died December 8, 2010.
Surviving are three sons, David Helmuth of Ocala, FL, Wilbur (Susie) Helmuth of Albany, WI, Daniel (Laura) Helmuth of Plummer, ID; daughter, Mary Ann (Paul) Mast of LaGrange; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; many nieces; nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Lavern and Vernon Helmuth; grandson, Robert Helmuth; four brothers and a sister.
Emanuel was a retired farmer and minister; he was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Saturday June 26, and all day Sunday June 27, at Paul Mast residence, 0035 East 300 South LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday June 28, at the same residence. There will also be viewing followed by a graveside service and burial beginning at 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 29, at Valley View Cemetery, Valley Rd., Bonduel, WI 54107. Services will be conducted by Bishop Joe Bontrager and the home ministers. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.
Helmuth, Glenn Alan
August 20, 1947 - October 15, 2021
Glenn Alan Helmuth age 74, of Glen Flora, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Glenn was born on August 20, 1947 at Ladysmith, Rusk County, Wisconsin to parents Samuel E and Maggie Geneva (Klingelsmith) Helmuth in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
Glenn spent his childhood in Glen Flora WI with the family moving to upstate New York after the passing of his father in April of 1960. He graduated from Arcade High School, Arcade, N.Y. in 1965. After high school, Glenn moved to Evanston, IL working at the Evanston Hospital.
He met Katie in 1968. Soon after they were married March 22, 1969 by Rev Paul Sieber at the Arthur Mennonite Church, and they also became members of Arthur Mennonite Church. They made their home in Arcola IL.
Glenn worked for the OE Schrock Company in Arthur IL as a carpenter. In 1977 the family moved to Glen Flora WI and bought a dairy farm and milked cows for many years. After retiring from farming, Glenn returned to work as a carpenter until his retirement, later working part time as home inspector for the state of Wisconsin low income housing grant program.
Glenn was a tried and true fan of the Chicago Cubs with many good memories of attending games at Wrigley Field. He was also a staunch supporter of all things Flambeau Falcons and could always be found in his "spot" at Flambeau basketball games. Above all was his love for his family, in particular his grandchildren. Many good times were had on holidays, playing card games at home, or out deer hunting.
Glenn was a member of the South Lawrence Mennonite Church. Glenn's faith was an essential
part of his life and was evident in everything he did. Some of his most cherished memories were of his work with the church and as a missionary in Romania working with orphaned children.
Glenn will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years Katie C (Bontrager); sons, Kevin (Luanne Zuck) of Stone Lake WI; Douglas of Glen Flora WI; daughters Michelle Nelson (Gene) of Glen Flora WI; Malinda Kay Amidon (Eric) of Glen Flora WI; brothers Wilbur of Madison WI; Harold (Mary Reisner) of Glen Flora WI; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Nelson of River Falls WI; Zach Nelson of Eau Claire WI; Samantha Nelson of Eau Claire WI; Ashley (Ian) Fawley of Tony WI; Jacob Helmuth of Richland Center WI; Gracie Amidon of Rochester MN; Preston Amidon of Glen Flora WI; and many friends and extended family.
Glenn was preceded in death by parents Samuel E and Maggie Geneva (Klingelsmith); brother: Arthur Helmuth of Anchorage AK; sisters: Vivian Helmuth of New York NY; Verda Hilty of Kidron OH; Vesta Helmuth of Buffalo NY; and grandson Samuel Helmuth of Idaho Falls ID.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at South Lawrence Mennonite Church, Glen Flora, WI 54526 with Pastor Matthew Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow in the South Lawrence Cemetery. A meal will follow the burial at the Jump River Community Center.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 22 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith WI. There will also be an hour of visitation from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.
Helmuth, Johnny J.
December 7, 1934 - April 10, 2021
Johnny J. Helmuth, 86, of Millersburg died at 9:50 am on Saturday, April 10, at his residence. He was born on December 7, 1934 in Arthur, IL, to Joseph and Katie (Beachy) Helmuth. On August 21, 1958, in Topeka, he married Susie Anna Miller, she died November 12, 2014.
Surviving are four daughters, Luanna (Dean) Gingerich of Middlebury, Leona (Glen) Miller of Goshen, Lavera (Ora) Miller of Millersburg and Elaine Helmuth at home two sons, Howard (Vera) Helmuth of Millersburg and Gary Helmuth of Shipshewana 19 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren brother-in-law, Christy Schrock of Missouri sister-in-law, Ida Helmuth of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents wife two brothers, Ben and Enos Helmuth four sisters, Edna Schrock, Anna Cole, Fannie Yoder Bontrager and Susie Miller Schrock.
Johnny was a woodworker and had worked at Miller Door and Trim, Goshen for over 20 years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 11, and all day Monday, April 12, at the Howard Helmuth residence, 11665 W. 500 S., Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Vernon Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Honeyville Cemetery, Topeka.

LeRoy Helmuth, 71, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Topeka, died at 9:13 am on Thursday, December 9, at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. He was born on November 3, 1950, in Wolf Lake, to John A. and Elizabeth (Borntrager) Helmuth.
Surviving are three sisters, Wilma (Harley) Schlabach of Topeka, Polly (Glen) Graber of Millersburg, Marietta (Lloyd) Schlabach of Ligonier; four brothers, Fritz (Tina) Helmuth of Topeka, Richard (Sara) Helmuth of Shipshewana, Ernest (Mary) Helmuth of Millersburg, Dennis (Niva) Helmuth of Topeka; sister-in-law, Martha (Nelson) Schlabach of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wilbur Helmuth.
LeRoy attended Bethel Mennonite Church in Florida and was a cashier at Publix.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 14 and one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, December 15 at New Life Fellowship, 2755 South SR 5, Topeka. Services will be conducted by Pastor Harold Gingerich and Pastor Shawn Otto. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
Helmuth, Noah B.
April 12, 1924 ~ January 12, 2021 (age 96)
Noah B. Helmuth, 96 of Harrisonburg, Virginia (formerly of Arthur, Illinois) passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, where he was a resident for the past eight years.
Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Arthur Cemetery. Rev. Michael Loss will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Noah was born on April 12, 1924 in Arcola, Illinois. He was a son of Benjamin and Lizzie (Schrock) Helmuth. He married Edna L Miller on December 16, 1943; she passed away on August 24, 2019.
Noah and Edna, through their early years of marriage, were dairy farmers and began their family.
In 1964 he became co-owner of M&H Equipment, which became Helmuth Implement in 1966 when Noah and Edna bought out another business partner and changed the name. With an already full life, in 1972 Noah and Edna began traveling to Chicago on weekends where Noah eventually became the pastor of Chicago Community Chapel. Noah and Edna’s pastoral journeys also took them to, Arthur Mennonite Church (Arthur, IL), Cazenovia Mennonite Church (Cazenovia, IL), Roanoke Mennonite Church (Roanoke, IL), East Peoria Mennonite Church (East Peoria, IL), East Union Mennonite Church (2) (Kalona, IA), and Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church (Stuarts Draft, VA).
In 2002 Noah & Edna moved to Harrisonburg, VA to be closer to at least some of their family. For the past 8 years they have lived at the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community where they were blessed with many friends and care workers.
Noah is survived by four sons, Andrew N (Joan) Helmuth of Arthur, IL, Ervin N Helmuth of Sarasota, FL, Phillip N (Loretta) Helmuth of Harrisonburg, VA and Leslie N (Sylvia) Helmuth of Harrisonburg, VA; a daughter, Susanna (Richard) Plank of Goshen, IN; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edna Helmuth, one grandson, Michael Helmuth, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Herr, Carl B.
October 28, 1927 - June 11, 2021
Carl B. Herr, age 93, of Brethren Village, passed away on June 11, 2021. He was the husband of the late Erma Lois Hess Herr. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence B. and Ada Groff Herr.
He was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. Carl was a lifelong beef and poultry farmer on Penn Grant Rd., Lancaster. He enjoyed reading, playing games, and times with his family. He also enjoyed the friendships at Brethren Village.
He is survived by one sister, Helen Hershey of Kirkwood, PA, three children, Larry Herr (Barbara) of Lowville, NY, Nancy Charles (Cliff) of Lancaster, PA, Susan Neff (Steve) of Trout Run, PA.; and sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Hoover, a brother, Glenn Herr, a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Herr and a brother-in-law, Earl Hershey.
Herr, John Robert, Jr. "Bob"
March 30, 1948 - October 25, 2021
John Robert Herr, Jr., (Bob), 73, died October 25 after a battle with abdominal cancer. Bob was born March 30, 1948, to J. Robert and Lois Martin Herr. He leaves behind his wife and partner of 46 years, Judy Zimmerman Herr.
Bob grew up in Southern Lancaster County and graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1966. After two years at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, VA, he graduated from Goshen (IN) College in 1972. He later earned an MA in Economic and Social Development from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs of the University of Pittsburgh.
Much of Bob’s career focused on international relief and development work with the Mennonite Central Committee. He first served in MCC’s PAX program in France from 1968-70, in lieu of military service. He and Judy taught school in Malawi from 1975-78, and worked in South Africa from 1982-86 and in Botswana from 1987-91. Their last international placement was as directors for MCC’s work in East Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2009-2014.
Bob and Judy worked together in the MCC office in Akron, PA as directors for MCC’s International Peace Office from 1991-2007, providing leadership in MCC’s peacebuilding work. From 2003 onwards, they also helped in developing MCC’s international planning, monitoring and reporting system. From 2007-09, they pioneered a new department within MCC to provide technical support for program work.
After retiring from MCC in 2014, Bob worked part time for the Mennonite World Conference and as an interim Director for the Nazareth Project, supporting the work of the Nazareth Hospital in Israel. He joined Judy in several writing projects.
Bob was an active member of East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, where he taught in the adult Sunday school for many years and served on the church board. He enjoyed being part of the Lancaster Downtowners, an organization of older persons supporting one another in Lancaster. He volunteered at the Fulton Theater, and had hoped to help with the African American Historical Society walking tours.
Friends and co-workers remember Bob as a curious and engaging person. His eagerness to learn about new places and people led him to work in Africa, and to travel widely in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He was a news junkie, following daily newscasts and regularly reading various newspapers. We will miss his welcoming grin, his thoughtful comments on ethical and theological issues, his dry humor, and his silly magic tricks. We’ll also miss his culinary specialties: spaghetti sauce, crunchy granola, and “Uncle Bob’s apple pie.”
In addition to his wife Judy, Bob leaves behind two sons, Mark Zimmerman Herr of Minneapolis, MN and Daniel Zimmerman Herr, with girlfriend Lia Yin, of Boston, MA. He is survived by his siblings: Doris (Marlin) Thomas of Willow Street; Joyce Bomberger (John) Landis of Lancaster; Donald E. (Deb) Herr of Willow Street; Mervin R. Smucker (Ann Hostetler) of Dresden, Germany and Goshen, IN; Marlin (Damaris) Melo-Smucker of Lancaster; Carolyn (Barry) Bauer of Lancaster; Cindy (Harold) Shellenberger of Mount Joy; and Joanne (Fred) Good of New Holland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by his step mother, Mary Glick Smucker Herr, brother-in-law Robert Bomberger, and sister-in-law Kate Herr.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 30 at 3 PM with visitation beginning at 2 PM, at East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, 432 E Chestnut St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Masks are required.

Hershberger, Florence Opal Zehr

Florence Opal Zehr Hershberger, 95, of Goshen, died on November 3 at 1:40 a.m.
She was born on August 15, 1926, at Manson, Iowa, to Alvin and Ruth (Lehman) Zehr.
On June 24, 1950, she married Roman E Hershberger.
She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Kliewer; Judith (Greg) Leigh; and Lori (Steve) Blair, one son, Craig Hershberger, four grandchildren, one step grandson, two great grandsons, two great granddaughters, and her sister Nelda Nussbaum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ruth Zehr, her husband, Roman, her sister Alice Newcomer, and daughter-in-law Shelley Hershberger.
She was a 1943 high school graduate of Hesston (Kansas) College and Bible School. She worked as a secretary in early years and later in Bethel Bookstore in Elkhart, Indiana. Florence had a lifelong love for books and reading, also for teaching Sunday and Bible classes. She was a Stephen minister and leader and enjoyed meeting with and encouraging others. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many.
Friends may call Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 4 p.m. funeral service will be conducted. June Alliman Yoder, College Mennonite Church, will officiate.
Cremation will follow after the service.

Hershberger, Floyd L.
June 30, 1933 - October 30, 2021
Floyd L. Hershberger, 88, of Tucson, Arizona passed away at 4:50 p.m. on October 30, 2021.
He was born June 30, 1933, in Ligonier, Indiana, to Levi and Susie (Herschberger) Hershberger.
He married Barbara Miller, daughter of Polly Helmuth and Jacob E. Miller, in June 1956.
Floyd is survived by his children: James Hershberger, Patricia Hershberger, and Kristen (Luke) Quinnan of Tucson, Arizona and Robert Hershberger of Osceola, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, daughter Paula Sue Hershberger, six brothers, Jency Hershberger, Clarence Hershberger, Eli Hershberger, Roy Hershberger, Lee Hershberger, Roman Hershberger, and sister Martha Winslow.
Floyd taught Mathematics and Computer Science at various schools in Pennsylvania, and Indiana, retiring from Penn High School. He was very active in the Mennonite churches he attended throughout his life, including Belmont Mennonite Church, Kern Road Mennonite Church, Carlsbad Mennonite Church, and Shalom Mennonite Church.
Floyd had a spirit of volunteerism, leading several Mennonite Board of Missions Voluntary Service (VS) houses during the summer months, volunteering as a Troop leader under the Boy Scouts of America organization, and also volunteering, with his wife, for two years in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at Mennonita School. Floyd also worked with the SOOP Program, and locally in Tucson at the Community Food Bank, Adaptation Station, and Pima Council on Aging.
Floyd loved travel and enjoyed outdoor activities. He traveled throughout the United States with his family during the summer months, and took trips to Europe and Africa with his extended family. He was an avid bicyclist, hiker, golfer, and walker all his life. He also enjoyed camping during those summer trips with the family. At home, Floyd always had home improvement projects in progress. He loved to learn new techniques for home improvements, and building furniture.
A memorial service will be held on November 6, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Shalom Mennonite Church, in Tucson, Arizona, where he was a member. Masks are required for attending the memorial service.
Burial at Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen, Indiana, will take place at a later date.

Hershberger, Gladys June Kauffman
June 5, 1931 - July 25, 2021
Gladys June (Kauffman) Hershberger, 90, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, IN. She was born June 5, 1931, in Clinton Township to Alvin and Alma (Showalter) Kauffman. On December 30, 1951, she married James Hershberger of Hesston, KS at the Clinton Brick Mennonite Church.
Gladys is survived by her two sons: Paul (Lorie) Hershberger, Coldwater, MI and their children Andrew (Ellie) Hershberger and Mark (Lauren) Eash Hershberger; and Delvin (Michele), Hesston, KS, and their children, Tara Hershberger, Erin (Jay Carpenter) Hershberger and JD Hershberger; four great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law Carol Kauffman, Millersburg, IN, Grace Hershberger, Goshen, IN and Martha Hershberger, Hesston, KS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, stillborn son Kenneth James, daughter Miriam Hershberger and siblings Loa Miller, Jenni Pletcher, Maxine Kauffman and Dana Kauffman.
Life’s adventures with James found her in Kansas City, KS, Hesston, KS, Mountain Home, AR, Canton, KS, Beaverdam, PA and Orrville, OH. Following James’ death, she returned to Goshen. Her frequent occupation was as a certified nurse’s assistant, and she cared for Alzheimer’s patients at Greencroft Healthcare. There she was known for her gentleness and creativity as she cared for her patients. Finally she herself was afflicted with late onset Alzheimer’s disease and became the beneficiary of care at the same facility.
Services for Gladys will take place on Saturday, July 31, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, with viewing and visitation starting at 2:30 PM and the memorial service at 3:30 PM. Interment to follow the service at Clinton Mennonite Cemetery.
Relationships with immigrants and international visitors was a theme in Gladys’ life and a particular passion of her daughter Miriam. Memorial contributions to aid in the educational support of international students can be made to Hesston College, for the Miriam Hershberger Memorial Endowment Fund.

Henry E. Hershberger, 83, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly at 6:30 am on Saturday, July 10 at his residence. He was born on January 25, 1938, in Middlebury, to Eli B. and Katie (Bontrager) Herschberger. On January 26, 1960, in Plain City, OH, he married Susie Arlene Miller; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are six sons, Virgil Dean (Jackie) Hershberger of Shipshewana, Keith Lavern (Ruth) Hershberger of LaGrange, Lyndon Lee (Lenora) Hershberger of Russellville, OH, Myron Eugene Hershberger, Lorne Edward (Sharon) Hershberger both of LaGrange, Nathan Lyle (Elizabeth) Hershberger of Shipshewana; daughter, Edith Joan (Galen) Miller of Sioux Lookout, ON, Canada; 30 grandchildren, eight bonus grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 22 bonus great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel (Orpha) Herschberger of Wakarusa; sister, Esther Bontrager of Middlebury; brother-in-law, Elmer (Sara Viola) Gingerich of Mountain View, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Duane Dale Hershberger; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hershberger; grandson, Scott Dale Hershberger; two sisters, Fannie Miller, Lavina Gingerich.
Henry was previously a member and Bishop at Hebron Christian Fellowship for 50+ years. He was currently a member of Pilgrim Fellowship Church. He was the previous owner of the family business Alpha Building Center in Shipshewana.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 4:30 pm and 5:30 - 7:00 pm on both Sunday, July 11 and Monday, July 12 at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 13 also at Fairhaven Mennonite Church. Services will be conducted by Bishop Jon Yoder. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.

Ida D. Hershberger age 72 of Burr Oak passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 15, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Born August 23, 1948 to the late Dan S. and Fannie Miller.
Ida was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She was married to Joni Hershberger.
She leaves behind her husband Joni Hershberger of Burr Oak, 13 children: Linda (Mervin) Miller of Potosi, Wisconsin, Norma at home, Henry (Rachel) Hershberger of Milton, Iowa, Nathan (Rebecca) Hershberger of Hamilton, Missouri, Laura (Andrew) Keim of Burr Oak, Noah (Clara) Hershberger of Homer, John (Malinda) Hershberger of West Union, Ohio, Susie (Joseph) Bontrager of Burr Oak, Daniel (Malinda) Hershberger of Bronson, David (Barbara) Hershberger of Burr Oak, Paul (Edna) Hershberger of Bronson, Raymond (Frieda) Hershberger of Middlebury, Ruth (Andrew) Hochstetler of Burr Oak, 67 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents Ida was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
The Hershberger family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 starting at 2:00 PM and Wednesday, February 17, 2021 starting at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021 starting at 9:30 AM with Mahlon Lambright officiating. Burial will follow at Maystead Community Cemetery in Burr Oak. All events will take place at the Andrew Keim residence at: 487 St. Joe Road Burr Oak, MI 49030.

Leroy E. Hershberger, 74, of Shipshewana, passed away at 9:40 am on Friday, April 2 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1946 in Goshen, to Ezra E. and Katie (Yoder) Harshbarger. Leroy lived in the Shipshewana area since 1967. On November 30, 1967 in Shipshewana, he married Wilma A. Hochstetler; she survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Fannie Mae Schrock and Pauline Hershberger; two brothers, Vern Hershberger and Roman Harshbarger.
Leroy worked in the local RV factories and gave buggy rides at Buggy Lane Tours. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 3 and all day Sunday, April 4 at the Lavon Miller residence, 4365 N. SR 5, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, April 5 also at the Lavon Miller residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Erwin C. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Roman E. Hershberger, 97, of Goshen died at 7:45 p.m. on July 5, 2021 at home.
He was born May 1, 1924, in Canton, Ohio, to Levi and Susie (Herschberger) Hershberger.
He married Florence O. Zehr on June 24, 1950, at Manson, Iowa.
Mr. Hershberger is survived by his wife, Florence, and by his children: Ruth Kliewer of Plainfield, Illinois; Judith (Greg) Leigh of Elkhart, Indiana; Craig Hershberger of Goshen, Indiana; and Lori (Steve) Blair of Vandalia, Michigan. Also surviving are four grandchildren, one step grandson, two great grandsons, and two great granddaughters, and his brother Floyd Hershberger of Tucson, Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers Jency Hershberger, Clarence Hershberger, Eli Hershberger, Roy Hershberger, Lee Hershberger, sister Martha Winslow, and daughter-in-law Shelley Hershberger.
Mr. Hershberger was employed at various schools both as a teacher and as a psychologist. He served in the latter capacity at the Elkhart (Indiana) Community Schools. He also served as a minister at First Evangelical Mennonite Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was a member of NEA, ISTA and the local Retired Teachers Association.
Friends may call Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m., at College Mennonite Church, 1900 S. Main St., Goshen, where he was a member.
Burial at Yellow Creek Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Ruby Ellen Hershberger, 89, of Goshen, died at 12:16 pm, on Friday, July 9 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, Goshen. She was born on November 24, 1931, in rural Middlebury to Melvin T. and Fannie (Miller) Eash. She married Monroe Jay Hershberger on October 7, 1951; he died on May 27, 2017.
Ruby was a homemaker and a part-time secretary to several businesses and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of Maple City Chapel and formerly attended Benton Mennonite Church, where she was active in Christian Education and the sewing circle. She served as a Women’s and Girl’s secretary in the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite conference and volunteered at the I-M Mennonite Relief Sale. She was a charter member of the Friendship Extension Homemaker’s Club with which she served 50+ years. In May 1996, Ruby was chosen Senior Homemaker of the year for Elkhart County Homemaker Clubs. She was a quilt maker, making a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren plus a quilt for each family’s first grandchild. She was a watercolor artist, painting pictures and greeting cards. Her winter/Christmas card was chosen second place in Triligy, which has retirement homes in the Midwest. Ruby loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are four children, Gary (Luann) Hershberger of Goshen, Jeryl (Trish) Hershberger of Topeka, Mark (Glenda) Hershberger of Elkhart, and Rose (Harold) Stutzman of Millersburg; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca (Glenn J.) Yoder of Middlebury, Ruth (Jake) Detweiler of OK; one brother, Bernie (Barbara) Eash of Sturgis, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Elman Eash.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 14 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main St., Middlebury. Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am on Thursday, July 15 at Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen for a graveside service. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 am at Maple City Chapel, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Miller. Memorials may be given to Missionary Ventures International for Ruby’s grandson and family, Josh and Jennifer Hire, who are serving as missionaries.
Hershey, Donald Lee
April 3, 1937 - May 31, 2021
Donald Lee Hershey, 84 of Manheim, PA moved from his earthly home to his heavenly home on May 31, 2021. He was the son of the late M. Rohrer and Ruth Zimmerman Hershey, raised in Manheim Township and graduated from Lancaster Mennonite class of 1955.
He shared 63 years of marriage with his sweetheart Geraldine Marie Snavely Hershey. After marriage, Don and Gerry entered the dairy farming business which became known as Hershvale Farms. The main emphasis in the early years was developing a herd of registered Holstein dairy cows. He donated time by serving on many Ag related boards.
Although a busy farmer Don found time for some other things. His biggest interest was serving the Lord in church work, most recently as a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church. Don began teaching Sunday school at age 18 and occasionally until age 80. He loved to do volunteer work which included driving ambulance for Manheim EMS.
After turning Hershvale Farms to his son, Larry, he continued working on the farm, as well as Manheim Auto Auction. Later he did guided tours for Kreider Dairy Farms and worked at Jubilee Ministries, Manheim.
Don loved and prayed for his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry Hershey husband of Bonnie, Manheim and Stephen Hershey husband of Heidi, Mount Joy and a daughter, Patti Ritchey, Holtwood. Don and Gerry were blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Kathryn Yost, LaGrange, KY and brother, James Hershey, York. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, David Ritchey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Lebanon Valley Bible Church, 1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Ella Florence (Martin) Hershey, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Casselton, N.D., on Aug. 31, 1929, to the late Daniel and Anna (Keener) Martin. On Aug. 31, 1948, she married Herman Hershey who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2011. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and gardening. She gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 9 and was a member of the Shiloh Mennonite Church.
Ella is survived by her children, Evelyn (Arthur) Kauffman, Daniel (Jane) Hershey, Stanley (Beth) Hershey, Rachel (late Jim Hackman) (Joel) Micheals, Christian (Darlene) Hershey, James (Regina) Hershey, Alan Hershey, Gerald Hershey, Wesley (Wanda) Hershey, Abbie (Ken) Mast, Beth (Dale) Reinford; 63 grandchildren; 185 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Rhoda Stoll; her brother, Lewis Martin and her sister-in-law, Pearl Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; her parents; her daughter, Lois in infancy; one grandson; five great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13, at Shiloh Mennonite Church. A viewing will be on Sunday, Dec. 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Shiloh Mennonite Church.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sheldon.

J. Eby Hershey, age 97, of Landis Homes, formerly of Intercourse, passed on to glory on January 7, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Leacock Township on July 25, 1923, son of the late Martin & Susan Eby Hershey. He will be missed by his loving wife Kathryn J. Sauder Hershey, with whom he celebrated 75 years of marriage on November 24th.
Also surviving are 5 children: Glenn (Helen Hostetter), Marlin (Barbara Weaver), James (Shirley Miller), Janice (Paul) Kreider, Dale (Debra Lapp), 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Linda (Jay/Elma Ebersole), granddaughter Tara Louise Hershey, 9 siblings: Sem E., Emma E., Elizabeth M. and Evelyn R. Leaman, M. Rohrer, Miriam S., Amos H., John O., and Sanford E. Hershey. He was the last of his immediate generation.
He was a member of the Hershey Mennonite Church. His life interests were with Registered Holsteins, donating many to relief sales. During his farming years Eby updated genealogy books. In his senior years he enjoyed woodworking and making many "Chase the Rat" game boards. He spent many days volunteering at the MCC Resource Center. Eby had a great love for music, singing from the time he was young in numerous choruses.
A memorial service will take place from the Hershey Mennonite Church, 401 Hershey Church Road, Kinzers, PA, on Thursday, January 14th at 10:30 a.m. with Covid restrictions in place. Kathryn J. Sauder Hershey, 96, of Lititz entered her heavenly rest on May 2, 2021. Kathryn was born in East Earl Township on January 3, 1925, along with a still-born twin. Daughter of the late George G. and Anna Rutt Sauder. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from New Holland High School class of 1943, where she played violin.
She was married for 75 years this past November to the late J. Eby Hershey, who passed away on January 7, 2021. She was very supportive of the family dairy farm endeavors as a wonderful cook, seamstress, homemaker, and encourager. They lived previously at Paradise, Kinzers, Leacock Township and later Landis Homes.
She was a member of Hersheys Mennonite Church and loved reading, sewing and gardening. She volunteered with Meals On Wheels and the Reuzit shop.
Surviving are 5 children: Glenn (Helen Hostetter), Marlin (Barbara Weaver), James (Shirley Miller), Janice (Paul Kreider), Dale (Debra Lapp), 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Linda (Jay/ Elma Ebersole), and granddaughter Tara Louise Hershey, four siblings: Celestine (Melvin) Eberly, Melvin (Ethel Myer) Sauder, Virginia (Harlan) Hoover and Leila (D. Beatrice H. Hess, 81, of Pequea, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late B. Daniel Hess who died in 2015. Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Katie Hornberger Martin.
Beatrice was a homemaker and a member of the Byerland Mennonite Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, traveling, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene Faye wife of Samuel Gehman of Peach Bottom, Marlene Kaye Hess of Pequea, and Shirlene Maye wife of Todd Miller of Manheim; two sons, Daniel Raye husband of Mary Ramsbottom Hess residing in Albania, and Marlin Jaye Hess of Pequea; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Kennel of Parkesburg, Arlene wife of Melvin Graver of Lancaster, and Verna wife of Earl Martin of New Holland; and a brother, Galen husband of Barb Martin of Narvon. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Trent Gehman and by brothers, Harold, Irvin, Leon and Melvin Martin.

Heather Marie Hess, born September 14, 1974 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, died tragically on Friday, July 2, 2021. She was 46.
Heather was a graduate of Donegal High School class of 1993. She worked at numerous restaurants in Lancaster County and loved being able to serve others. Heather loved the sand, seashells and ocean, long walks and long talks, playing softball and golfing. She loved sunflowers, plants, gardening and art, her lifelong friends, and most of all her family. She loved, cared for, and brought so much joy to everyone she met and will be missed dearly by so many.
Heather is survived by her parents, Joe and Linda Hess, her siblings and their spouses Aaron and Tiffany Hess, Katie and Shawn Stafford, Laura Hess, and her beloved nieces and nephew - Ava, Charlotte and Naomi Hess, Amelia Stafford, and Julian and Gwyneth Regan. Also surviving are her paternal grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Lois Hess.
A celebration of Heather's life will be held on Sunday, July 25 at 2:00pm at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Patsy Wolf Hess, 88, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at home. Born in Akron, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Z. and Leona (Brown) Wolf. Patsy shared 67 years of marriage with John E. Hess who passed away in 2019. Together they farmed the family farm near Lititz until 2003.
Patsy was a graduate of Ephrata High School's class of 1950, a member of Neffsville Mennonite Church, and a bus driver for Warwick School District for 24 years. She enjoyed reading, walking, sports, especially basketball, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Patsy is survived by 5 children, Dennis, husband of Darlene (Ginder) Hess of Lititz, Douglas, husband of Christine (Pinto) Hess of Stevens, Judy, wife of Randall Garber of Akron, Bev, wife of Roger Landis of Lancaster, Barbara, wife of Neil Weidman of Lititz; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Jay Wolf of Elizabethtown and George, husband of Phyllis (Garman) Wolf of Akron.In addition to her husband and parents, Patsy was preceded in death by a son, J. Dean Hess; a daughter, Lucille Stauffer; brothers, Orie Wolf, Jesse Wolf, and Vern Wolf and a sister, Nancy Miller.

Dennis L. High, 63, of Robesonia, passed away at home on Saturday, May 22, 2021, after a 2-1/2 year battle with cancer.
He was born in Ephrata to J. Clair High and the late Shirley Ann (Weaver) High and was the husband of Connie (Becker) High, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Dennis was of the Christian faith. A graduate of Cocalico High School Class of 1975, he worked as a self-employed contractor. He coached midget football, baseball, and softball for Cocalico and played fast-pitch softball for various teams. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite place to go was his cabin in the mountains.
In addition to his father and wife, Dennis is survived by 3 children, Megan H., wife of William Hunter Wilbanks of Charlotte, NC, Kayla M., wife of Colton Murray of Olathe, KS, Joshua G. High of Lancaster; grandson, Asher Isaac; 5 brothers, Gary L. High of Elizabethtown, Jay L., husband of Star High of Reinholds, Kevin L., husband of Holly High of Denver, Curtis L., husband of Joan High of Stevens, and Darrell L., husband of Cindy High of Lebanon; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sister, Lori Sue High and brother, Clair High.

Marc Donald High, 52, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 24, 2021 after a three month diagnosis of ALS. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Donald L. High of Lancaster, and the late Dorothy M. High who passed away November 9, 2020.
Marc was employed by High Associates. He was a 1986 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School where he was in orchestra and band and baseball and basketball clubs. Marc attended Neffsville Mennonite Church. His interests included sports, visiting the PA Railroad Museum, trips to Ocean City, NJ, and spending time with family.
Surviving besides his father is a daughter, Brooke High (25) and twin sons, Owen and Travis High (22) all of FL; a sister, Lisa H. wife of Donald Clark, Jr, of Ronks; a brother, Joel E. High of Myrtle Beach, SC; and nieces and nephews, Katelyn, wife of Andy Mellinger, Jr. and Donald III, husband of Amy Clark both of Paradise, and Alex and Sarah High of Merrill's Inlet, SC. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Michael E. High.
Marc had a wonderful sense of humor, gratitude and love for his family and friends, even in the midst of the ALS debilitations. The family wishes to thank the ALS Association and Hershey Medical Center/ALS Clinic for their expert care.

Hjelmstad, Donald W., born February 1, 1940, son of Magnar and Margaret Hjelmstad, died in LaJunta, Colorado on April 18, 2021 at age 81. His parents and brother Jon preceded him in death. Nathanael John Hochstedler, 19, of LaGrange, formerly of Kalona, IA, died on Sunday, July 4, following a drowning accident in Sturgeon Lake, Colon, MI. He was born on December 18, 2001, in Kalona, IA, to Paul and Emma (Schwartz) Hochstedler.
Surviving are ten siblings, Ada Elizabeth Hochstedler, Mary Emma (LaWayne) Miller, Ollie Anna (Andrew) Yoder, Lydia Ruth (Clifford) Miller all of Kalona, IA, Hannah Rose (Kenneth) Miller of Ava, IL, Benjamin Lloyd Hochstedler of LaGrange, Paul Samuel Hochstedler, David Adam Hochstedler, Naomi Louise (special friend, Nevin Yoder) Hochstedler, Sarah Joann Hochstedler all of Kalona, IA; 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Y. and Ada (Hilty) Schwartz Shetler and Sylvan and Ollie (Gingerich) Hochstedler.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, and Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the family residence, 5679 Highway 1 SW, Kalona, IA. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, July 9, 2021 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Elmer T. Miller. Burial will be in North Gingerich Cemetery, Kalona, IA.

Fannie Hochstetler, 87, of Ligonier, died at 4:00 am on December 23 at her residence. She was born on December 1, 1934 in Bremen to Joni and Sovilla (Miller) Gingerich. On December 16, 1954, in Nappanee she married Perry D. Hochstetler, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are three sons, Lamar (Esther) Hochstetler of Middlebury, Lyle (Ruth) Hochstetler of Ligonier, Ernest (Joanna) Hochstetler of Shipshewana; daughter, Rosemary (Joe) Bontrager of Ligonier; 24 grandchildren, two step grandsons, 95 great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter; three sisters, Esther Weaver of Sarasota, FL, Irene (Freeman) Kuhns of Milford, Mary (Lloyd) Yoder of Drakesville, IA; three brothers, Clarence (Mary Ellen) Gingerich of Nappanee, Ervin (Rosie) Gingerich of Bloomfield, IA, Larry (Karen) Gingerich of Milford; four sister-in-laws, Jean Gingerich of Mishawaka, Areena Gingerich of Syracuse, Barbara Gingerich of Nappanee, Martha Ann Miller of Bogard, MO; brother-in-law, Willis Miller of Milroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Alan, LeRoy and a stillborn; six brothers, David, Melvin, Alvin, Delbert, Joni Jr., Garry; sister, Edna Miller; brother-in-law, John Weaver.
Fannie was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Lonnie E. Hochstetler, age 84, of Nappanee, passed away at 3:10 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born October 13, 1936 in Elkhart County to Eli J. and Sarah J. (Miller) Hochstetler. On June 16, 1957 he married Verba D. Mullet. She preceded him in death September 15, 2016. Lonnie was a member of the Old Older Amish Church. He was the former owner of H & H Repair Shop.

LORENA KAY (JESS) HOCHSTETLER, age 68 years, 8 months, 13 days, of Arcola, Illinois passed away at 1:49 A.M. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Elmer Miller residence 163 North CR 425 East, Arcola, Illinois. Bishop Ervin Eugene Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois. Visitation will be any time after 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Elmer Miller residence.
Lorena was born February 10, 1953 the daughter of Lester and Katie (Herschberger) Jess. She married Menno Lavern Hochstetler December 19, 1972. They lived in Holy Matrimony for 48 years, 10 months and 4 days.

Marilyn E. Hochstetler, 52, of Topeka, died at 2:10 pm on Friday, January 15, at her residence after a year long battle with cancer. She was born on October 23, 1968 in LaGrange to Elva and Ruby (Graber) Yoder. On September 26, 1990 in Topeka, she married Glen Hochstetler, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter, Brenda (James) Yoder of Topeka; four sons, Kevin (Marla) Hochstetler of Topeka, Michael (Doris) Hochstetler of Millersburg, Jeremy (special friend Kaylena Yoder) Hochstetler at home, Justin Hochstetler at home; four grandchildren, Audrey, Rylan, Jensen and Kaden; four sisters, Lorene (Jake) Schwartz of Ligonier, Leanna Yoder of Topeka, Erma (Ray) Wingard of Topeka, Marlene (Elmer) Miller of Topeka; two brothers, Marlin (Vera) Yoder of Topeka, Floyd (Lisa) Yoder of Topeka.

Mark James Hochstetler, 63, of Middlebury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 29 at his residence. He was born on August 29, 1958, in LaGrange, to Ora and Alta (Miller) Hochstetler. On November 29, 1980, in Goshen, he married Jane Schrock, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are son, Jared (Kimberly) Hochstetler of Goshen; two daughters, Kristi (Michal) Troyer of Hicksville, OH, Karmen (Andy) Miller of Woodburn; seven grandchildren, Rylee and Kennedy Hochstetler, Spencer and Joshua Troyer, Brooklyn, Chelsey, and Kaylie Miller; mother, Alta Hochstetler of Goshen; three sisters, Ruth (Dale) Mullet of Sugarcreek, OH, Anita (Jerry) Yoder of Ligonier, Grace (Rod) Bontrager of Goshen; brother, Nate (Rhonda) Hochstetler of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ora Hochstetler.
Mark was President of Honeyville Metal Inc. He was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship, where he served as church treasurer and sound tech. Mark loved and adored his grandchildren. He had a servant's heart and was always willing to give back and serve his community. He also enjoyed biking, spending time with friends, and taking care of his yard.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, October 4 at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 5 also at Fairhaven Mennonite Church. Services will be conducted by Pastors Jason Miller and Josh Berkshire. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Living Hope Christian Fellowship or Clinton Christian School.

Mary Hochstetler, 89 years, 2 months, of Arcola, Illinois passed away at 2:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the HCK Building, one mile south of Arthur, Illinois. Bishop Jeff Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois. Visitation will be anytime prior to the funeral at the HCK Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mary was born on October 17, 1932 in Arthur, Illinois to Menno J. and Emma S. (Yutzy) Schrock. She married Levi J. Hochstetler on March 13, 1951. He passed away on May 26, 2012.
Survivors include two sons, LaVern Hochstetler and Robert Hochstetler and his wife Linda, one daughter, Marlene Miller and her husband Raymond all of Arcola, IL, one daughter-in-law, Barbara Hochstetler of Arcola, IL, 31 grandchildren, and 97 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Joe Herschberger, husband, one daughter, Barbara Rose Hochstetler, one son, Allen Hochstetler, one daughter-in-law, Lorena Hochstetler, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, four brothers, Joe Schrock and his wife Ada, Chris Schrock and his wife Lydia, Jacob Schrock and his wife Fannie, and Daniel Schrock and his wife Katie Ann and four sisters, Anna Mast and her husband Fred, Lena Miller and her husband Dan, Elizabeth, Barbara Herschberger and her husband Joas.
Mary was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Nettie Irene Hochstetler, 89, of Shipshewana, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 3, at her residence. She was born on October 15, 1931, in LaGrange County, to Edward and Amelia (Miller) Slabach. On January 25, 1951, in Shipshewana, she married LeRoy Hochstetler, he died November 13, 2011.
Surviving are five daughters, Betty (Jonas) Bontreger of Goshen, Erma (Dean) Bontrager, Katie (Glen) Bontrager both of Shipshewana, Darlene Ganger of Bradenton, FL, Dorothy (Dave) Frey of Shipshewana; four sons, Ervin (Lillie) Hochstetler of Bristol, Perry (Mary) Hochstetler of Wesley, AR, LaVern (Loranna) Hochstetler of Middlebury, Glenn (Geri) Hochstetler of Leesburg; 42 grandchildren, 133 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Katie Yoder of Shipshewana; two brothers, Chris (Ramah) Slabach, Edward Jr. (Irene) Slabach both of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, LeRoy Jr. Hochstetler; granddaughter, Ida Fern Hochstetler, great-granddaughter, Jana Helmuth; two sisters, Ida Mae Bontrager, Mary Ellen Bontrager; brother, Ervin Slabach.
Nettie was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Raymond Hochstetler, 75, of Topeka, passed to his heavenly home at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23, while surrounded by his family at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He was born on June 29, 1945 in Shipshewana to Perry L. and Pennola (Boley) Hochstetler. On May 5, 1964 in LaGrange County he married Helen Weaver, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are six daughters, Karen (Peter) Kaufman of Topeka, Penny (Howard) Mast of Adamsville, TN, Velda Slabaugh of LaGrange, Anna (Jon) Yoder of Goshen, Diane Lehman of Bristol, Doris Kaufman of New Paris; three sons, Harry (Susan) Hochstetler of Goshen, Jay Dee (Rosetta) Hochstetler of Myakka, FL, Dale (Carolyn) Hochstetler of Middlebury; 30 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine Kelley of Lakeland, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three grandchildren; three brothers, Emil, Lester and Leroy Hochstetler; four sisters, Verna Blalock, Edna Gingerich, Erma Beachy, Alma Kuhns.
Raymond had been a milk hauler for several years and then worked at Sunny Brook RV, Middlebury from 1993 until retiring in 2010. In retirement he worked for Four Woods Laminating, Topeka. He was a member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church and enjoyed wintering in Myakka City, Florida with his wife for 10 years. He was a nature lover who enjoyed fishing and feeding the birds and squirrels. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Sunday, June 27, also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Fairhaven Mennonite Church Ministry Team. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
Hollinger, Erma N. Esbenshade
June 19, 1934 - August 18, 2021
Erma E. Hollinger, 87 of Mount Joy went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18, 2021. She was the devoted wife of the late Clair M. Hollinger with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. She will be deeply missed by her children, Louann married to Jeff Weaver of Manheim, Edward, married to Dolly Hollinger of Benton. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a sister Evelyn married to George Rohrer of Strasburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Leon Hollinger and a sister Doris Landis.
Erma graduated from East Donegal High School, class of 1952. She and Clair lived on their dairy farm in East Donegal Township until it was sold in 1997. A faithful member of the Mount Joy Mennonite Church, she served with the "sewing circle." Erma was also a waitress for the former Clearview Restaurant, Mount Joy and worked for Landyshade Mulch Products of Lancaster. She was an active volunteer with the Mount Joy Gift and Thrift Shop, and was a member of the Society of Farm Women #8, Lancaster County. A special person who loved conversation with others, Erma loved to talk and laugh and was well known for her gift of cooking. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. Her legacy will live on through her family and her many friends.
A Funeral Service honoring Erma's life will be held at the Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Rd., Mount Joy on Friday, August 27th, 2021 at 3 PM. Family and friends will be received immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Erma will be interred with her husband in a private service in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Mount Joy Thrift and Gift Shop, 413 W. Main St., Mount Joy, PA 17552 would be deeply appreciated by the Hollinger family.
